Quarry Vintage Indigo Trucker Jacket (Made to Order) - Level 2
The Quarry Vintage Indigo Trucker Jacket is a unique and authentically crafted garment, made using vintage Japanese Boro fabrics. Boro textiles are a traditional Japanese technique where fabric scraps and worn-out garments are carefully patched and repaired, creating a beautiful, textured fabric with a rich history. This tradition of resourcefulness and preservation is reminiscent of Baijiayi, also known as the 'Hundred Families Robe'. It is a traditional Chinese patchwork garment worn by young boys as a protective talisman. This Han Chinese custom has been passed down for centuries, the garment serving as a symbol of longevity. To craft the Baijiayi, the mother would collect small fabric scraps donated from many local families and assemble them into a single garment; the patchwork design was believed to concentrate the collective spiritual power of the donors and form a protective barrier, with the child wearing the Baijiayi constantly until their first birthday.
The Quarry Trucker Jacket is cut in a relaxed, boxy silhouette and features with an open-end zipper. Each piece is a unique work of art, handcrafted with care using rare, vintage fabrics sourced from between the 1930s and 1970s. By embracing the essence of these aged textiles, our designs radiate unparalleled character and heritage. No two items are identical - each bears the imperfections that give it a distinct personality.
Please note that all garments are one-of-a-kind, featuring unique patterns and shades. Each piece is made to order and crafted in our in-house atelier in Hong Kong. We appreciate your patience and expect to have your garment ready within 4 to 6 weeks.
